Description
TeV pulsars are promising candidate sources of high-energy neutrinos, and the detection of pulsed neutrino emission would provide compelling evidence for hadronic particle acceleration in their environments. To search for such emission, we employ two complementary methods. Possible correlations between the neutrino and gamma-ray pulse profiles motivate a template-based search using measured GeV gamma-ray phasograms, while the template-independent weighted H-test retains sensitivity to neutrino profiles that differ from their gamma-ray counterparts. We focus on four pulsars associated with TeV emission: Crab, Vela, Geminga, and PSR B1706−44. We evaluate the performance of the two methods through signal-injection simulations using different assumed neutrino phasogram based on the measured GeV gamma-ray phasograms. The results demonstrate that the template-based method and the weighted H-test provide complementary sensitivity to pulsed neutrino emission under different assumptions about the signal phase profile.
