Description
Active Galactic Nuclei are promising cosmic ray accelerators, making them prime candidates for searches for astrophysical neutrinos. In recent years, many gamma-ray bright source classes have been excluded as neutrino sources, indicating that sites of high-energy neutrino production must be optically thick, and the electromagnetic signatures of neutrino production may reside at lower energies. In this talk, I will present the results of searches for gamma-ray and X-ray-correlated neutrino emission from AGN populations, and put constraints on the contribution of blazar and non-blazar AGN to the diffuse neutrino flux. These results strengthen the case for typical neutrino sources being gamma-ray obscured.
