Description
The Pierre Auger Observatory uses the atmosphere as a giant calorimeter to measure extensive air showers produced by the highest energy particles known to exist. The Southern hemisphere site is operational and includes an array of instruments that monitor the troposphere above the 3000 km^2 site. A Northern hemisphere site of 20,000 km^2 is planned. This talk will review the atmospheric monitoring program of the observatory.
