mDOM assembly weekly meeting. Presenting progress reports, future plans, assembly issues, etc.

 

Announcements:

• New paper travelers - please use and give feedback

• Cabling - need to route camera, flashers, LED in specific spot between correct PMTs. Need to do this FIRST before adding other cables or it makes mainboard install hard. (See instructions.)

  • See new wall sign that shows where the cables are supposed to go, both top and bottom halves.

• When entering into database, use “000000” for the glass hemisphere and scan in the support structure

• Add penetrator cables to database when assembling holding structure

• Add gel lot when pouring

• Seal test works now! 

Items Needed / Improvements: 

• Wrist anchorings when cabling - they get in the way 

  • Can we make a tie bar from the copper ground? Copper wire? – Joining station needs this too. – Chris will get parts. 

Schedule:

• Gel pour next week Wed and Fri

  • Emmett leaving early on Friday

• NO gel pour the week after that - focus on joining catch-up

• Inspection and review coming early April - ideas for keeping lab clean and organized?
